Who We Are
InpaintKit is a Photoshop companion plugin built and operated by Turned Ninja. We sell a downloadable plugin and keep data collection to the minimum needed to process purchases, provide updates, and offer support.

Scope
This policy applies to:
- The InpaintKit website and checkout
- The InpaintKit plugin distributed by us
It does not cover third-party services you choose to connect to (for example, AI model providers you use with your own API key). Those services have their own privacy policies.
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to fulfill your order and support you:
- Purchase details at checkout (for example: name, email, billing country). Checkout is handled by our payment processor; we do not store full payment card details on our servers.
- Order/licensing records (for example: email, product purchased, license or receipt ID) to deliver downloads, verify purchases, and provide updates.
- Communications you send us (for example: support emails, bug reports) so we can reply and improve the product.
- Newsletter opt-ins (email address) if you subscribe; you can unsubscribe anytime.
We may also receive basic technical logs from our hosting (for example: IP address, user agent, time) for security and troubleshooting.
What We Don’t Collect From the Plugin
- Your images and selections stay in Photoshop. When you trigger a generation, the plugin sends the relevant data directly to your chosen provider using your API key.
- Your API keys are stored locally on your machine by the plugin. We do not receive or store them on our servers.
- We do not use your content to train models.
How We Use Your Information
- Fulfill purchases and deliver downloads/licenses
- Provide support and product updates
- Debug issues, prevent fraud/abuse, and comply with legal obligations
- Send product emails you ask for (for example: release notes, if subscribed)
Legal Bases (EEA/UK/CH)
Where applicable, we process personal data under these legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (to fulfill your order and provide the product)
- Legitimate interests (for example: preventing fraud, improving reliability)
- Legal obligation (for example: tax and accounting records)
- Consent (for example: newsletter subscription)
Sharing and Disclosure
We share data only with service providers that help us operate the site and product, such as:
- Payment processing and fulfillment
- Email delivery and customer support
- Hosting and infrastructure
We do not sell your personal information. Service providers may only use your data to provide services to us and must protect it under contract.
International Transfers
If we transfer data to another country, we rely on appropriate safeguards (for example: Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by law.
Cookies and Analytics
We use first-party analytics to understand website visits and improve the purchase experience. A random browser identifier is stored in local storage to connect page visits, traffic sources, device information, download requests, Buy clicks, and confirmed purchases. Clearing browser storage resets that identifier. Our payment processor receives a signed analytics reference so we can link a completed purchase to its original visit, even if you do not return to the website. Purchase events record an order ID, amount, and currency, not payment card details or license keys. Download requests count clicks on the plugin download link, not completed downloads or installations.
Plugin Trial Statistics
The plugin can report its original trial start and first successful image generation timestamps to our own server, using a separate random installation identifier. Reporting runs in the background by default, without adding plugin UI. Existing saved disabled preferences are respected. It does not require signup or block offline use. Failed reports may be retried on a later launch. Existing trials retain their original start date; historical generations are not reconstructed. These statistics do not include images, prompts, API keys, license keys, or email addresses, and are not linked to website visitors or paid-license device identifiers. Counts represent installations, not exact people. Our infrastructure still processes network metadata such as IP addresses to serve requests and limit abuse; the trial statistics table does not store that metadata.
Data Retention
- Order/licensing records: kept for as long as necessary to provide updates, verify purchases, and meet legal obligations.
- Newsletter data: kept until you unsubscribe.
- Support emails: kept as long as needed to assist you and improve the product.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited personal data we store, including access controls and minimizing what we keep. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or download your personal data, and to object or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email contact@inpaintkit.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s Privacy
InpaintKit is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent where you live). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Third-Party Links
Our site may link to third-party sites (for example: AI providers). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy over time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
